Rex TrogdenUplook Magazine

Brother Rex Trogdon came to know the Lord Jesus as his Savior in 1973. He and his wife, Nancy, were commended to the Lord’s work in 1983. They served the Lord ten years in Zaire, Africa (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). They make their home outside of Charlotte, NC, and work primarily with Believers Bible Chapel which they helped to start in the year 2000 and are committed to discipling believers as the Great Commission instructs. Rex also travels in itinerant and conference ministry in North America, and the Caribbean Islands, has made Mission trips back to the DRC, Africa, has led Bible Lands Study tours to Israel, works with the Good News on the Move team, is part of the Rise Up conferences, and is a contributor to Choice Gleanings and Uplook Magazine. Above all, he thanks God for the privilege of serving such a great God who delights to use sinners, saved by grace, for His honor and glory.

Christian RamirezEducationist

Christian Ramirez Mendoza was born in Bogota, Colombia to typical Catholic Latin American Family. There was notion of the existence of God in our house but we never really knew who He was or what He had done for us. I came to Christ at age 17 when my Dad became a believer and I saw the transforming power of the Gospel. Since then I always had the desire to serve Christ and know him more, and at age 25 after getting married the Lord opened doors for us to come to Dallas, TX where I did a Masters in Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. During my time in Dallas God made his calling even more clear through the prayers and help of our assembly Edmond's Lane Bible Chapel, and the amazing time of learning we had at DTS. After serving for a year with ELBC, the Lord called us to go back to Colombia as missionaries. We have been in the mission field for 3 years now, with a passion of bringing the same type of training and love that we received in Dallas to the church here in Bogota. We currently work with a youth group in the north of Bogota, as well as young couples, but our greatest passion is opening a new Bible Institute in Bogota with virtual education called Institution FIEL. We will be starting a pilot program on February 2016, and look forward to what the Lord can do through this ministry.
